Hola peeps!

It's been another busy week for me. Danny was in Houston Mon-Wed night. So it was Paulie and I hangin together. Monday night he really missed his Daddy and wanted to sleep with me...I obliged my little man. He slept great, me on on the other hand..not so much. Work is great, just lots of networking events and appointments.

Thursday was the first day of another Women's ACTS retreat. I was on the Home Team and had to go out to Cordi Marian Retreat Center around 5:30 to help set up and serve dinner to 75 women. It is always wonderful to be around ACTS sisters. We had a lot of fun as usual. I even had some special one on one time with my good friend JoAnne. She served as the Spiritual Director for the retreat--a position I had last April. So, I complete knew all her preparation and what she was feeling Thursday night before the women arrived.

I will have to come back to this entry...... time to get ready for my ride. Peter and Martha are coming at 3:15 --and we're all going out to Fatso's on Bandera to watch the Kansas vs. Davidson game at 4. If we win--the boys come to San Antonio next weekend for the FINAL FOUR--and I am going--courtesy of my new employer!!!

The Easter Bunny Used a Key

Being so busy with work and Danny traveling, I failed to decorate my house for Easter. This is a real shame b/c I have a lot of cute decorations. I did manage to get items for Paul's Easter Basket and a card for Daddy from Paul. And Hallmark has this new "brilliant" idea. A key you can leave for the Easter Bunny outside so he can get into your home and leave the goodies. So, here is our key for the Easter Bunny and he did come and left Paul some treats!

Paul really seemed to love the Sweetart Jelly Beans......and had some stick to his teeth and the roof of his mouth.....
We're taking Paulie to see Horton Hears a Who today at 11:30. He and Daddy are playing right now in the family room. Then home to watch the Texas bb game. They play Miami and if they win, will join Kansas in the SWEET SIXTEEN! I was sorry that KSU and A&M lost. Damn those Big 12 schools..not hanging with this big boys!!

My high school classmate and friend, Rich Berra, is a morning show DJ in Arizona. Some of you might recall he jammed on stage with Enrique Iglesias in October. Well, he has done it again. This is the email I received from him earlier this week...

"I went in the studio with Jesse McCartney Friday at the Disney Studios to record a different, possible RADIO RELEASE of a single they are marketing. I am playing the guitar here and wrote the progression. Here's the acoustic version of the single, LEAVIN'. I hope you dig it and tell your friends to go grab it on ITUNES over the next few weeks. Peace and Love to all..." I now have the single on my IPOD and it is really good. Click hear to listen. The only instrument you hear is the guitar and that is my friend Rich playing! See Rich in the yellow shirt! Way cool I think!!!! I have to be honest..hadn't heard of Jesse McCartney until Rich sent this email.

We went to 8am mass this morning. I saw my ACTS sister and co-worker, Nora. This is too weird... We went to lunch last week I mentioned I am turning 39 this year..and she said, "so am I!" -- July..her too. July 21...her too! I have NEVER met someone who was born July 21, 1969! She is 4 1/2 hours older though. Too bizarre for words. She is a love and was on the ACTS team in Aug 2004 when I was a retreatant. She works for my friend Cathy Starnes in the Benefits Division.

Yikes..almost time to leave for the movie. I need to get ready...

Let Peace Begin With You.....

A Divided House and Other Susan Happenings!

The Big 12 Tournament started on Thursday. I went to Fatso's Sports Bar Fri night to meet up with fellow Kansas alums to watch KU beat Nebraska. Then, KU beat A&M AGAIN (down with the Aggies!) yesterday to be eligible to play for the Tourney Championship today at 2pm. Who do we play....Danny's alma mater--Univ of Texas! So, we're a house divided today. We cannot and will not watch the game together. I will head to Fatso's to cheer on the Jayhawks with all the other fans!

I went to 8am mass this morning (Palm Sunday--beginning of Holy Week) and Danny is going to 11am. We went to dinner at Carino's last night with a group of friends for Barney's birthday. Danny and Barney has been friends since kindergarten. That is a SUPER long time!!

I will write more tonight. I need to go play with my son. I might take him outside in the backyard to run around and play. Danny just left for mass. Paul is watching a DVD I got a couple months ago....Word World. He is laughing..belly laughs! If only you could hear him right now.....suh sweet!

Lady With Migraine Needs Help....

UGH---came down with a migraine yesterday afternoon around 4. I came home around 5:00, barfed, stripped down (cause I was hot and perspiring profusely) and put the ceiling fan on. Called Danny to let him he was picking up Paul. Took some prescription meds and went to sleep for 2 hours. Still today a lingering headache...mild migraine..but oh so darn annoying!!! Awful feeling indeed and made worse b/c I missed GNO and we were going here to celebrate Tina's birthday. So sorry I had to miss it!

I did not pass my license exam on Monday. Missed it by 3 lousy questions. In other words, three more correct answers and I would have passed! It is HARDER than it was 8 years ago and the license/legal dept at my company did not give me the proper material. BUT NOW I have another study guide book and it should help. I am taking it again this Monday at noon.

I need to hit the hay folks. Difficult to find the time to write blog entries.....since going back to work! A final note--my Kansas Jayhawks beat Texas Tech (sorry Terrence) by a whopping 50 points on Monday night...college basketball for those non sports fans. But seriously, how can you not love college basketball?! I am so ready for March Madness! The FINAL FOUR is here in San Antonio this year. Come on KU---get here already!

TGIF - tomorrow!

Cardinal, Bishops, Priests OH MY

Monday brought something super exciting for this Catholic girl. Cardinal DiNardo (of Houston-Galveston) was the keynote speaker at the CTSA Luncheon--my boss Nick asked me to take his place at the company table. Danny went too and we sat 6 feet from the Italian priest. He was an excellent speaker and I had a wonderful time! I also saw Father Leopold, Fr. Jimmy Drennan (he married us) and Bishop Flannagin. Lots of nuns and other priests present too!
I spent a lot of the week studying for my license exam. I wanted to take it Friday, but things got messed up at TDI and I am scheduled for Monday at 1pm. Please pray for me--I need to pass this and get going making some sales!

Wed night was GNO and we went to Alamo Cafe. It was nice and the food is decent. I was awfully tired and was home around 9:45 or so. Lots more to write about, my time is so limited now. OH, and I might add that I am going to Fatso's n Bandera tonight to watch Kansas play K-State. Martha and Peter are picking me up around 7:15..and I have things to do beforehand.

Paul had a good week at school. They have added a third teacher in his classroom and are moving up 2 children on Monday. So, I think we'll be back to 15 kids and 3 teachers--awesome! Although I don't think the third teacher is going to stay forever. She might go into another classroom.

Danny took Paul to the zoo this morning so I could do some chores. I have a cold and didn't have much energy--but I got lots done..and then took an hour nap. Got a manicure and my eyebrows waxed a little while ago. I plan to study for a few hours tomorrow afternoon and again Monday morning before my exam.

Can u tell I am in a hurry..this entry is not very interesting or fun. Sorry.
