So much going on in my mind....

I will be 38 in July, which only means 40 is around the corner. And I was thinking...where are we going for the girls weekend to celebrate me turning 40, but of course, looking 30! We did Tina's hometown of Chicago in March for her celebration. So, does that mean we go to Detroit or St. Louis?! I even love Kansas City! So many things to do there and I love BBQ! Other ideas that come to mind......a spa maybe in Dallas or Phoenix.......Destin, FL of course is another fine choice! Oh, the girls would love Destin!!! Only 740 miles from SA! Although I hope some of my other friends might go too...Carol P., Carol S., Stacey, Debra, Evin....Tina's Mom Terry.....Maile's sister....anyone else?

Remember and reflect on these profound statements/writings.....
*Those whom God most loves, He most tries.
*A real Christian stands out in the crowd!
*Find your still point...God wants you to Be Still.... —“Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you” (1 Cor. 6:19).
*The purpose of spiritual gifts is to build up the Body of Christ; the Holy Spirit uses us to help each other's faith grow in Jesus.

It's Raining, It's Pouring, The Old Man is Snoring...

Howdy friends and family!

Just a quick entry today..too much to do around here and Master Paul is napping. This morning he and I ran 2 errands. We were at the bank and during the course of our drive-thru deposit, I said to him.."Shall we go over and see if Miss Tina is working out." (her gym is in the same parking lot)..."she took the kids to school and then maybe came to workout...oh, but it is 10:30, so she may be home now."..then from the back came cheerfully..."yeah....skoo ool!"....yes, 2 syllables...then he said skoo ool about three more times before we got home.

The pictures are one of my new nephews..Casper. He was born Feb. 14 and lives outside Seattle. Big sister Sophia (age 4) and brother (Daddy, Brad..age 40). Brad works for Starbucks, and I will have him, and all of you know..that I do help their sales from time to time. I want to be certain he has a nice 401K and good bonuses!

Off to do my Cinderella chores......

Sunday Sunday

I don't know how many people know this about me...but I LOVE music..all types and have a wide variety of music in my house and in my car. Danny bought an IPOD for me and friends used to say....we cannot believe you don't have one yet....I was patient....believe it or not?!

Anyway, my friend Maile seems to really love music and all types too. On her blog she asked for people to post some of their favorite road trip songs. So, I listed a few she might wish to listen to and maybe add to her IPOD....and I thought I would share my list (very brief) on my blog.

Extraordinary by Liz Phair....Crazy in Love by Beyonce and Jay-Z....Work It by Missy Elliott.....Stacy's Mom by Fountains of Wayne.....Gimme the Light by Sean Paul...I've Got You Under My Skin by Sinatra....1999 by Prince......I Would Die 4 U by Prince...Kiss by Prince....Like a Virgin by Madonna....Express Yourself by Madonna....Through the Rain by Mariah Carey....Hot Blooded by Foreigner....Say You Will by Foreigner.....Double Vision by Foreigner.....Fantasy Girl by .38 Special.....Back Where You Belong by .38 Special....Last Dance by Donna Summer.....Hot Stuff by Donna Summer.....No More Tears - Enough is Enough by Donna Summer and Babs.....She Works Hard For the Money by Donna Summer

Super Freak by Rick James....She's a Bad Mama Jama by Carl Carlton....Get Down On It by Kool and the Gang.....Good Morning Little School Girl by Jonny Lang...Matchbox by Jonny Lang...Rack 'Em Up by Jonny Lang.....Small Town....John Cougar Mellencamp....Between a Laugh and a Tear by John Cougar Mellencamp...one of my favorite's from JCM....Rumbleseat

I went to 9:30 mass this morning. We decided to leave Paul home. I think he has a stomach bug..like I had Friday and Saturday. I saw many friends and got to sit with some of my favorite kiddos..Michelle and Robert Wise..and their Dad..Bill. Momma Meliza is our 9:30 cantor and one of special friends! I put together a Little People garage for my boy......and the funniest thing occurred....you had to see it! And if you come over soon..I am sure he will still be doing it.

Paul loves to go down the slides at the playground. Well, there is a slide--for the cars!-- on this garage. Paul was trying to climb on this "plastic" garage as I was snapping and screwing...and I was laughing telling him..."no honey bunny.....you don't climb on it...you play like this.." and I showed him how it all works. Next thing you know he is climbing on it...one side of him trying to fit on this slide..his knee went on the slide and then would go "go down" the slide....6-7inches long....and THEN he went down it..as best he could..cause it is not made for a toddler to go down....on his tummy. I laughed so hard I cried and almost wet my panties. I MUST get this on video!!!!

Danny cleaned our shower and tub. Paul is napping and I was going thru papers here in the office, but decided to write this now. I am busy getting my house in order and cleaned for my Mom and Wayne's visit. They arrive on May 9!

I hope you all have a blessed week! And remember this please...."You weren't put on earth to be remembered, You were put here to prepare for eternity." AMEN

Cheers!

This is Danny's Mom, Mary Esther, and Master Paul. This picture was taken a little over a week ago! He was playing with all her necklaces!!! See, he likes jewelry too..so he IS related to me, my Mom and Mary Esther!
Easter 2007 -- Paul received a bunny from Grandma Mary Esther!

One more final thing..I had to post some recent pictures of my sweet boy..Paul Gilbert. He is too funny, and very loving! He wants to give everyone a hug now! Better than biting I say....
My friend Maile..who is the fabulous artist/photographer..was on the SA Living Show again.
Maile writes in her blog.."In the meantime, here's a link if you want to check out my segment on the Living show today. What a morning! I can't tell you how happy I am to be in my sweats right now." And you MUST view her blog from time to time. www.dailyrelish@squarespace.com

And my friend Erin has a family blog too..... She has a hubby, a toddler and twin girls who will be 1 on May 19! http://thepruetzfamily.blogspot.com

And recently I have reconnected with a couple of folks I went to high school with. Our 20 year reunion is in October. One of my old friends..Robb..lives about 6 miles from my brother in Denver...who knew! He's married with a 3 year old daughter.

One more thing before I head to bed...Danny and I will celebrate 7 years on May 6. We're planning on taking Master Paul to Sea World! He is the bestest husband and Daddy ever! We miss him this week cause he has been busy working and studying for a big exam he has tomorrow. He's not home yet..so I will see him in the AM before he heads out again!

I'm back from a long break.....

It's been so long since my last blog that I forgot my username and password in order to create a new post. So, I am starting again.......

Beginning in January----meeting and planning for an ACTS retreat at my parish. A=Adoration (of our Lord and Saviour!) C= Community.....T=Theology....S=Service I was the Spiritual Director and loved it! I grew a lot...especially in my faith. The retreat weekend was April 12-15 and it was awesome! The Holy Spirit was a moving everywhere! The 42 ladies who came on the retreat were all lovely and some rather animated! One such sister was my Mother-in-law..Mary Esther. She said it was like a vacation with all your favorite women around! Ditto Mom! Our theme songs were WE ARE COMPANIONS and LEAN ON ME.........yeah baby!

In the middle of all this retreat planning...a girls weekend in Chicago to celebrate Tina's 40th birthday! We stayed downtown and had a fabulous time. Our theme song for that weekend and still now...by MIMS..This is Why I'm Hot.....I'm fly and you're not! Too many stories to add now....

And I know the Devil was working hard on me....cause I was basically ill for 6 weeks. And in fact..still have a cough that I cannot shake! I told him to go to Hell......

Lots of Paul stories to share.......things he has been doing the past 3 months....playing, moving, climbing, more playing..sleeping, talking, laughing.....he loves to go to the playground in Canyon Springs. His Mommy showed him how to climb UP the slide using your hands and feet! He figured it out real quick! He still loves to read! He now helps say some of the words as you read to him..sometimes you are like....wow....so you can say that now huh?! Good for you buddy! He still likes to throw things and hit when he is unhappy, mad or tired. Eeeee ho le......sometimes I just do not know what to do.....reading some books on discipline...1 2 3 Magic seems to work well. He said GA MA...when Mary Esther was here this month and we were all at the playground. My Mom and Wayne are coming May 9 and I hope he will greet her with HI GA MA! He does have a big sweet friendly smile...kinda like his Mommy. When he laughs big----it's my laugh..and pretty much everything else about him..yeah..all me. So, who can fault him for any personality issues....they are mine. :-)

And I went to see a new Rheumatologist recently and have some new meds for my fibromyalgia..and for anyone who thinks it does not exist...come over and feel my trigger points and scream out in pain when you gently put some pressure on the 13 areas! Uh yeah...anyway, it will take some time, but I am also trying to exercise, eat better,,,none or little diet coke...and getting better sleep..which is where I need to head now. So I can be asleep by 10pm. I promise to blog again soon..not that anyone really cares...but it's nice to be able to keep a journal this way.

Paul is now 22 months old..weighs about 28 lbs and is very tall! He is solid too! He is going to get his first haircut very soon!!!!
